About Emily

I am so glad you have found this page. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am the mother of 2, wife and am passionate about all things maternal health and wellbeing! In fact I have been since before I ever became a mom. I have a Masters of Public Health in Reproductive and Maternal Health and another Masters of Mind-Body-Spirituality Psychology. Combine that with my Yoga Therapy and Doula Training and you can see my professional life has always been about supporting mother's holistically, with science and spirituality!

The Mother Yourself Membership

Being a Mother is more challenging today than it has ever been! External and internal pressure to be a "perfect" mom greets us all day! Fatigue and overwhelm make any opportunity to practice self care seem impossible. And a constant cycle of tiredness, stress, rage and guilt can make it feel like we are always failing. But it doesn't have to be this way! I fully believe that there is a way to make motherhood less stressful and more enjoyable. To create a sense of ease in yourself so that you can reconnect with the person you were before you were a mom, and gain love for the person you are now. And you will have the added bonus of feeling more present for your kids, your partners and YOURSELF!


Knowing these things academically isn't the same as living them and I am the first to say that being a mom is Stressful! Motherhood hit me like a ton of bricks and as I tried to "recover" I began to see that Motherhood wasn't something to recover from. Instead it was something to continue to grow in to. I saw that all of the offerings in my community, including my own, focused on pregnant women and new babies. Once a person had a baby it seemed she existed to serve others.


Working with moms all day I knew I wasn't alone in feeling that motherhood was overwhelming. Each day in my professional and personal life I was talking to moms that were burned out, and stressed. Wondering why motherhood was making feel so exhausted, wiped out and angry!



This is why I've created this Membership. For Mothers, at all stages of motherhood to have a place to gather for education and support. To have access to self-care practices that are both evidence based and designed to fit into the busy lives of overwhelmed moms. To have a community, that virtual village to remind you you aren't alone!
